Paul Davis Presentations
Paul Davis, a renowned expert on internet safety, will be speaking to students during the day and hosting a parent presentation on March 10 at 6:30 PM. His talk will cover important topics such as social media, cyberbullying, sexting, online gaming, and more.
This session is a valuable opportunity for parents to gain insights and practical strategies to help their child navigate the online world safely. We strongly encourage parents to attend, as online safety is a shared responsibility, and parental guidance plays a crucial role in monitoring and supporting their child's digital well-being.
Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences
Parent-Teacher Conferences are a great opportunity to connect with your child's teachers. Each meeting will be 10 minutes long. Online booking opens on Saturday, March 15, at 9:00 AM and closes on Tuesday, March 19, at midnight. Further details will be sent out soon.
Staffing Update
Heather Pearcey remains on leave. In her absence, we have been fortunate to have retired principals supporting our school. Rupi Bergamin has now joined our team and will be with us throughout March.
Student Reminders
Students are expected to attend class regularly, arrive on time, and be prepared to learn. Families can help support student success by encouraging healthy habits such as:
Turning off screens by 9:00 PM Waking up at a consistent time Having breakfast before school
Arriving at school early - We recognize that it can be difficult for students who leave campus at lunch to return on time, but we remind all students that punctuality is essential.
Ordering Yearbooks
A reminder that Mount Royal School yearbooks are still on sale! The ordering deadline has been extended until the end of March. Yearbooks cost $25 and will be distributed to students in June. Order yours today! Order online at: ybpay.lifetouch.ca
Use School ID: 14748125
Alberta Education Assurance Survey
All Grade 7 students will complete an anonymous survey for Alberta Education during the week of March 10. This survey gathers feedback on their learning experiences at school. Student responses are completely anonymous and not linked to individuals.
Parents/guardians of Grade 7 students have also been sent a unique access code to complete a similar parent survey. We encourage youto take the time to share your feedback about the school through this survey. Your input is valuable and helps guide future improvements.
